WebObjective: The scaphoid is proposed to be driven by the distal carpal row in scapholunate instability (SLI) as it is dissociated from the proximal row. The aim of this study was to describe the 6 degrees of freedom kinematics of the scaphoid using dynamic CT in the normal and SLI wrists.

WebResults: Out of 226 respondents, 99% deemed dynamic translation moderately to extremely influential for determining instability, whereas only 55% found static translation as important. The most prevalent cut-off values for dynamic (57%) and static translation (32%) were at least 2-4 mm and for angulation change at least 10-15 degrees (43%). WebJul 13, 2024 · 32 yo. male patient who had been diagnosed with CCI. The Grabb-Oakes is 9,2mm, so slightly above normal. But there is clearly no brainstem compression, nor evidence of BI. Dynamic imaging did also fail to demonstrate brainstem compression. BDI, ie. the basion-dens interval, is the distance between the tip of the clivus and tip of the C2.
WebFE X-rays are taken with the patient bedning forward or extending backward as far as possible while in the standing position. This allows for a better idea of how the spine looks in a functional position. This type of X-ray is called a dynamic radiograph. Dynamic F/E X-rays may be taken to look for spinal instability. WebThe five stages of scapholunate instability are occult, dynamic, scapholunate dissociation, DISI, and SLAC. 3. Stage 1: Predynamic, or occult, scapholunate instability is defined as attenuation or a tear of a …
